Information
The facade to the almost hundred year old elementary school has been altered by the artists with a ceramic project to emphasise the entrance.
The round columns and the 'flowing wall' supporting the canopy extend the wall visually. The glass roof with stainless steel is intended as a quotation from the local Roman excavations – the roof 'flown away' as a relief on the facade that integrates the blind window, and emphasises the eves-height of the original buildings on the grounds – the ceramic-clad block of text on the garden fence and the lid to the fountain as rising seating on the wall. The artists were consulted on the colour scheme to the facade, the paving, the garden fencing and the planting work carried out.
