A decision of exemplary status was made concerning the commissioning of art projects for public space in Lower Austria in 1991. For the first time, an attempt was made to award artists commissions for specific concepts in categories of interior design usually associated with aesthetic issues but seldom with artistic ones.
As always, Frohner addresses his themes with sincerity, he means what he paints. The artist succeeds in establishing an atmosphere in the different graphic dimensions. One that, regardless of whether line or surface, cross-hatching or shadow, condensation or omission, also conveys to the viewer the personal message behind the artwork while commanding respect before their artistic expression.
