Information
He visitor to the hospital encounters a rich spectrum of paintings made primarily by Lower Austrian artists. As a result, this place becomes enriched with an optica, sensual and intellectual touch.
A monumental wall hanging by Franka Lechner defines the sacral room of the hospital chapel. Indeed, Lechner's piece can be seen as a "pictoral rug" as its structure resembles a painting. Painterly structures, atmosphere, depth and light were conveyed on the material. The shape of the cross so often selected and the meditative emanation of the "pictorial rug" give Lechner's work a sacral dimension that so harmoniously fits into the local setting of the chapel.
