Tarek Zaki
Born in 1975, Tarek Zaki lives and works in Cairo, Egypt. He studied at the Helwan University in Cairo. In his installations (which is his predominant medium), the artist questions how future generations will treat their past – in other words, our present. He has participated in exhibitions such as “Mythologies” at the Haunch of Venison in London (2009), “Collection Dubai” at the SMART Project Space in Amsterdam (2009), “Monument X” at the Townhouse Gallery in Cairo (2007), and “Haunted by Detail” the De Appel in Amsterdam (2002).
