Valentin Ruhry
Born 1982 in Graz, Austria. He lives and works in Vienna. He studied multimedia art and sculpture at the Universität für angewandte Kunst (University of Applied Arts) in Vienna and the Academy of Art in Oslo, Norway. In his works, the artist addresses issues that are usually associated with sculpture, transferring these to related disciplines like painting. Ruhry’s works have been exhibited primarily in international shows, most recently in Moscow, Berlin, Paris, London, and New York. In 2014, the MAK (Museum of Applied Art) in Vienna presented a solo exhibition of Ruhry’s work.
