GapStarPro
Since their work mind the gap (2007), Rudolf Macher and Susen Okotie have been exploring the phenomenon of intercultural intervals under the label GapStarPro. In 2009, they began to concentrate on the cultural space of India, which they approach with a method they call “ways of discipline.” For GapStarPro, art is a process of engaging with cultural codes from very different origins over long periods of time. According to the artists: “We are interested in the transfiguration of transcultural processes that rise out of the space between the material and the immaterial.”
