Ursula Hübner

Born 1957 in Salzburg, Ursula Hübner lives and works in Vienna and Linz, Austria. She studied stage design at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and painting at the Universität für angewandte Kunst (University of Applied Arts) in Vienna. She began working as a stage designer in the 1980s, after which she also began to increasingly explore painting. She became a professor at the Universität für künstlerische und industrielle Gestaltung (University of Art and Design) in Linz in 1998, and she also occasionally works as a curator. Her works have been most recently shown at the Linz Triennale 0.1. (2010), the Kunsthalle Krems (2011), the HDLU in Zagreb, and the Mediamatic in Amsterdam (2014), among other venues.
