Information
Eleven photographs show the situation on the ground at the edge of a field in Baden on a scale of 1:1. The photographs bear the precise coordinates of their location. Stone slabs were set into the floor of the entrance hall and the main hall bearing the viewers coordinates.
At one point in the entrance hall, the sand-coloured natural stone floor is interrupted by the use of a clearly contrasting stone floor slab. An installation on the location and experientiality of the place: "Movement real and imaginary". Lowered into the floor in the hall is a slab of red unpolished marble with co-ordinates chiselled into it that mark the position of the viewer. 11 photographs of the floor in a format of 1:1 – the edge of a field in Baden – contrast the momentary position with another standpoint. While the floor installation precludes the pictures on the wall, making it possible to experience 'what is beneath our feet', the wall pictures themselves open up a view of other places, making a connection to places in Baden and subsequently to the world. The photos contain exact information about place and its co-ordinates. They communicate the places shown as a real geographical locations.
