Information
Ulrich Rückriem parts natural stone using crevices, and cuts it into segments which he then rejoins in their original constellation and places them in relation to the surroundings.
"Each sculpture contains a gesture, an act that makes the material broader or presses it together, or alters its normal position, its relationship to the surface beneath... I only perform one action on the material for each piece."
