Information
Franz Katzgraber created an abstract sculpture for the forecourt of the school, the shape of which is based on human proportions. The striving upwards symbolises human life-force, the overlapping surfaces human vulnerability.
These are abstracted human proportions, striving upwards. This striving upwards symbolises the positive, the will to live. The intersections show the vulnerability of the human being, but also his diabolic tendency to destroy things. In part, I was inspired by technical forms. They are transformed. Some parts that were determined for a particular function have become forms in a fantasy structure: simply arising from the need to design something, to be creatively active, to represent one's own world. To make others aware that this world too also exists within the human being.
