Sculpture in St. Valentin

Information
The sculpture of stacked planks of wood with twisting sides and corners that swing right out is the physical manifestation of philosophical reflection on the contrast in visual perception between the familiar and the alienated. During the rebuilding of the station the sculpture was displaced.
Perhaps somebody or other will discover how snapping the fingers or a little thought association can change one's intention, reverse what was determined, or can open up another dimension. It is well worth the trouble pursuing this, recognising it and enjoying it. Perhaps somebody or other will discover the field of tension between what is familiar and what has changed, the poetry of surfaces turned at angles and the broadly sweeping edge, the visually perceptible interplay of approaching and retreating, or of circumambulation.
